Granite Countertops in Litchfield Park, Arizona

Granite countertops have been a popular countertop for kitchens for a long time and is still a top seller in Litchfield Park. Granite is a natural stone and is probably the most durable surface to put in your home. A granite block is cut out of a mountain that is about the size of mini van and then it is moved to the cutting room. The block is sliced like a loaf of bread and each slice is a slab of granite roughly 10' x 6' in a 2CM or 3CM thickness. The slab is then laid down and sanded with a sand paper that is made with diamonds. Usually the sanding starts with a 50 grit and works up slowly until it gets to around 3000 grit. Once it is sanded it will have a glossy sheen to it because of the polishing process. There is no chemical or coating applied to the top of the granite, it is just a rock sanded until it is smooth.
